Flat Tower Project in Jakarta Divided Into Four Categories

Jakarta Provincial Government continues to develop the flat tower in the capital. The flat itself is divided into four categories that dedicated for certain circles.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, not all Jakartans could have a home thus the flat is provided to the needy. But now it is still focused on those who affected the normalization project.

"They cannot pay the land or build a home with one or two floors due to expensive land. That's why we offer four categories," he explained, at City Hall, Monday (10/10).

City Gears Up to Develop Type 36 Flat Tower This Year

First category is especially for the people with low income. His party provides the flat as wide as 36 square meter worth Rp 200-250 million.

"Using UMP salary, they can't pay installments up to Rp 200 million. Thus we make a model that subsidized up to 80 percent. Only pay Rp 5-15 thousand (per day)," he told.

Second, the flat with dorm price. It is dedicated for middle-class people. It will be built on public facilities, such as Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations. "Thus they can save time. This is because they commonly live in the suburbs," he expressed.

Third, the flat that dedicated to employees with salary more than Rp 10 million. Every unit can be paid in installments, yet the land is not included in the count. With a note, they were forbidden to sell it to anyone, but must be to Jakarta government. Sale price is set with NJOP.

Last is lands owned by citizens will be made as the flat tower, with double compensation of the land ownership. But this last category is not yet realized due to unavailable rules.

"This rule is the first time made. Well this is the incubator to give capital, health service, education and so on. Take the bus for free. By so, the next generation can feel a better life," he said.
